Zeon's answer to the Gundam, now in the revised Ver. 2.0!
The Gelgoog is Zeon's only One-Year War machine that meets the RX-78-2 on equal footing: more powerful than the Zaku II, equipped with beam weaponry, and designed specifically for experienced pilots like Char Aznable. Ironically, it arrived too late and in too few numbers to turn the tide of the war; most pilots in the final defense of A Baoa Qu simply didn't have enough experience to unlock its potential. In the hands of Char himself, however, it shows what the machine is truly capable of. The Ver. 2.0 takes Bandai's 1996 MG kit and completely rebuilds it, featuring an inner skeleton derived directly from the acclaimed Zaku II Ver. 2.0.
Why this version is the highlight for your collection:
-
Completely revised inner skeleton: The heart of Ver. 2.0. The inner frame has been redesigned from the ground up, providing a noticeably greater range of motion and more realistic movement than the 1996 original. The armor parts can also be removed to reveal the detailed mechanics underneath, perfect for a cutaway display.
-
Zeon's elite arsenal: Beam naginata with conversion option to a sword, beam rifle, and a shield with a movable mounting arm that can swing directly from the back to the arm for quick access while posing. Two types of antennas are included (standard and stabilizer variant), along with decals for custom markings.
-
Character diorama included: A scale Ele-Car with Char Aznable and Lalah Sune mini-figures (sitting and standing) is included with the kit. A charming extra that presents the Gelgoog not just as a mobile suit, but as a small scene from the Universal Century.
-
Demanding, but accessible: The construction is more complex than smaller scales and takes more time, but remains completely snap-fit, requiring no glue. For a secure hold of the shield and beam rifle during intense posing, some clear coat or a drop of glue on the connection points is recommended, though this is optional and does not alter the fundamental snap-fit system.
⚠️ IMPORTANT WARNING: This item is a detailed model kit and not a conventional toy. Not suitable for children under 3 years old – there is a choking hazard due to small parts!
